5 kms from Magaliesburg, situated in a tranquil valley on 45 hectares
of pristine riverine bushveld, (an hour from Johannesburg and

fourteen beautifully appointed cottages, the Estate is never crowded

The
main reception area has a cosy bar, lounge and library, and a
beautiful dining room, each with fireplaces for warmth and ambiance in
Winter. The Wellness Studio caters for all guest’s
beauty treatment and pampering massages. The Estate has a large
outdoor salt chlorinated pool and a smaller semi indoor plunge
pool which is heated. The lodge also has table tennis, a pool
table, lovely forest and grassland walk routes and lovely mountain
bike country rides in the surrounding area. The lounge has a small
selection of books to read, and guests are encouraged to relax in the
hammocks in the gardens. The fully licensed dining facilities offer
outstanding cuisine in a romantic dining room or outdoors under the
Bushwillows.
The
Estate is a fine birding venue, with over 135 species identified. It
has walk routes traversing the 45 hectare property through open
grassland on the higher ground, to the "Secret Forest" in
the lower lying section. Hot Air Balloon rides are launched on site.
Being in the heart of the Magalies Meander, there are many shopping
and adventure activities from which guest’s can choose. Micro
Flights, horse riding and many other activities are available.
Generator
Power: In the rare
events of a power outage, there is a generator which drives
electricity to the main building, dining areas, bar, conference rooms,
wellness centre and office.

Relaxation is the emphasis of the estate’s facilities, where there
is a cozy bar and restaurant affording groups the opportunity to get
close and have fun together. Fun theme evenings and
"braais" at the poolside lapa are also arranged.

Venue
Being
one hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria, the estate is ideally located
and designed for those smaller, exclusive conferences and group
sessions. There are 14 cottages in total, sleeping up to 16 delegates
single occupancy, or up to 23 with 20 sharing and 3 single.
Generally,
each conference group will have overnight exclusivity of the entire
venue and the personalised attention, service and cuisine to ensure
the experience is beyond expectations.
Spa
The
estate has its own Wellness Studio, which is small, intimate and
highly professional in its approach to ensuring guest’s pampering
needs are met.
The
Spa’s therapist has several years of world class training and
experience, both internationally and in South Africa. Treatments and
products are of the highest quality and applied in a professional and
caring manner.

Suites
Of
the 14 cottages at the property, 10 are of the Deluxe range, each with
the above facilities included. One of the Deluxe cottages has two
rooms (family unit) and sleeps up to a maximum of 4 people.
Honeymoon
Suites
There
are 3 Honeymoon Suites at the guest lodge, each with the same
facilities and comforts as the Deluxe Suites, but with the added
luxury of an extra outdoor private shower plus greater seclusion and
privacy.
Hilltop
House
Situated
on one of the highest points on the property is Hilltop House, a
private and secluded retreat which has 4 bedrooms and it's own lounge,
diningroom and kitchen. The views and privacy of this dwelling offers
a truly unique country experience.
